POWERful writers include PLANNING as an important part of the writing process. When we plan our writing we clarify the purpose and the audience and we choose a text form.To help us learn more about the PLANNING stage of the writing process I have set an MSOTA Whole School Challenge. Send me your examples of a variety of texts and I will display them at Sports Camp. Remember you do not need to create the examples of text you send me. See what you can find that already exists. You can ring me if you need any help or hints. I am excited about seeing what you can find.Good LuckMrs Howes |

Staff and students at MSOTA are celebrating the wonderful news of the newborn baby elephant at Sydney's Taronga Zoo. He was born at 6.30am on Wednesday and continues to amaze everyone with his fighting spirit especially his mother Porntip. We would like to enter a name (or lots of names) into the competition to find a name for this little fellow. At the moment he has been nicknamed "Mr Shuffles" because of his old man shuffle. If you would like to enter a name for this little miracle elephant please email Ms Bevans your ideas. Things to think about when you are coming up with a name are: - It needs to reflect his Thai origin
- His mother's name is Porntip
Here are a couple of photos to look at when trying to come up with a name. |
