CRUNCH&SIP

Congratulations to everyone who has been continuing to participate in the Crunch&Sip challenge! We have had some terrific photos sent in with many students coming up with some very creative ways to make fresh fruit and vegetables not only appealing to eat but also very yummy.

We know that everyone has been eagerly waiting for some photos from Miss Badrock so here they are…

Miss Badrock is growing tomatoes, cauliflower, beetroot, corn and beans

Look at how awesome her vegetable patch is growing! Many of the teachers here are very jealous of it especially Miss Crane who keeps bringing her dog over to dig it up! Out on our stations many of the students have been working very hard to build and maintain their vegetable patches. Here are a few examples

Farmer Tom checks his water level

"This one needs topping up!"

Tim carefully planting his seeds

A well labelled vegie patch

Wow! Madison's vegie garden is super! She is growing beans, silverbeet and broccoli.

Mmm... Madison's yummy beans!

Dane and Cobb F. have set a new challenge for the students and staff at MSOTA. Their challenge is for students to adopt a plant as their pet. They then need to look after their pet plant and see who can get their pet plant to grow the tallest and/or produce the most amount of fruit. Dane has already chosen a pet zucchini and is working very hard to make his zucchini the biggest zucchini ever! While Cobb is carefully cultivating his tomato plant to ensure it produces the most tomatoes. I wonder what other plants MSOTA students will choose as their pet. To enter the challenge please let your class teacher know which plant you have chosen and make sure you send in  photos and regular updates so we can post them on the website.

For now we hope you enjoy these Crunch&Sip photos...

Dane's giant onion

Wow over 1.4kg!

Even the toys are getting involved!
